- PAINTING SERVICES CHRISTCHURCH
What we do, and how we do it.
Painting and Decorating is all we do, and we do it well.
- INTERIOR PAINTING
Every room, done properly — from prep to final coat.
Interior painting is where most painters cut corners. They skip the prep, rush the primer, and leave you with a finish that chips inside a year. We don't work that way.
We fill and sand every crack and hole before we pick up a roller. We mask everything properly. We use quality products suited to each surface — and we don't leave until the finish is right.
- EXTERIOR PAINTING
Built for Canterbury weather. Made to last.
Canterbury weather is hard on exteriors — UV, frost, wind, rain. A cheap exterior job looks fine for twelve months and then starts failing. We use products specifically rated for New Zealand conditions and do the prep work that makes them stick.
Whether it's a weatherboard villa, a brick-and-plaster home, or a new build, we'll assess the surface properly and recommend the right system — not just the quickest one.
- INTERIOR & EXTERIOR PAINT SPRAYING
A flawless finish, faster — when the job calls for it.
Airless spray painting delivers a level of finish that's difficult to match with a roller — especially on large surfaces, new builds, or anywhere a perfectly smooth, even coat matters. We use professional-grade equipment and know when spraying is the right call and when it isn't.
The prep is everything. We mask meticulously before a single trigger pull - protecting floors, fixtures, glass and joinery. Done right, there's no overspray, no mess, and a result that speaks for itself.
- PLASTERING & PREP
Good paint starts with good prep. Full stop.
Paint is only as good as what's underneath it. Cracks filled with caulk and painted over look fine for six months — and then they open up again. We fix surfaces properly, which means the right product in the right place, feathered out and sanded smooth.
We handle everything from small crack repairs and hole patching through to skimming full walls where the substrate has deteriorated. We won't paint over a problem and hope for the best.

3Things people usually ask us.
If your question isn't here, just call us. We're happy to talk through anything before you commit to a quote.
How much does it cost to paint a house in Christchurch?
It depends entirely on the size of the property, the condition of the surfaces, and what's being painted. A full interior repaint on a standard 3-bedroom home typically runs between $4,000–$9,000. An exterior on the same home could be $5,000–$14,000 depending on height, cladding type and prep required. We'll give you a written quote with no obligation.
Do I need to be home while the work is done?
No. Many of our clients leave us a key and go about their day. We're used to working in occupied homes and understand the trust that takes. We'll stick to the agreed hours, we won't leave your property unsecured, and we'll let you know when we're done each day.
Do you supply the paint, or do I?
We supply all materials by default and include them in the quote. If you've already bought paint or have a specific product in mind, we're happy to use it — just let us know at the quoting stage and we'll adjust accordingly.
What areas do you cover?
We cover Christchurch city and the wider Canterbury region — including Rolleston, Lincoln, Prebbleton, Halswell, Rangiora and surrounding areas. If you're not sure whether we cover your location, just call and ask.
How far in advance do I need to book?
It varies with the time of year. Spring and early summer book out fast — sometimes 4–6 weeks ahead. Autumn and winter are usually easier to get into quickly. The best approach is to get in touch as soon as you know you have a job coming up, and we'll let you know what's available.
